Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. and Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. have developed a new series of non-traditional futures products called TRAKRS.TRAKRS, which stands for Total Return Asset ContractsSM, are designed to track an index that can be composed of stocks, bonds, currencies or other financial instruments. TRAKRS are futures contracts based on an index that is calculated on a total return basis, accounting for declared dividends and other distributions in the calculation of the index. We plan to discuss the booking and clearing process for TRAKRS. Some main points that will be covered include; Trade Processing, Daily Value Adjustment Processing, Performance Bond Calculations, PC-SPAN, Fees, and the Special Opening Procedure.
